February Half-term Holiday
Next week is the half-term holiday
and school is closed. We reopen on Monday 20th February so we look forward to seeing everyone then.
Easter Holidays
The second half of the Spring term ends on Thursday 29th March. Friday 30th March is an Inset Day. School reopens on Monday 16th April.
Applications for Nursery Places for September 2012
The application process for September 2012 is now under way. Anyone requiring a place for a child to start in Nursery in September 2012 needs to send their
completed paper application form to the school named as their first preference by Friday 2nd March. Forms are available from the school office. Applications
cannot be made on-line or by telephone.
Dinner Money
If you would like to pay dinner money for the next half-term in one go, the amount will be £60.90 (29 days @ £2.10) per
child. If your child is in Y4 the amount is £58.80 as they have a day out on 27th February. Please make any cheques payable to Staffordshire County Council or SCC.
French Club
The after school French Club will be continuing after half-term. We will be learning words and phrases about food and how to ask for food at the table. We
are hoping to make French baguette sandwiches as well. There will be five sessions, starting Tuesday 21st or Friday 24th February and taking us up to the
Easter holidays. There are limited spaces available on both the Tuesday and Friday sessions if anyone new would like to start. Cheques for £19.75 should be
made payable to 'The French Club' and sent into school in an envelope marked clearly with your child's name and French Club. Thank you. Madame La-Croix
Year 3 & 4 - PE Lessons
After half-term, children in Year 3 and 4 will need to make sure their usual PE kits are in school the
first day back, plus they will need a track suit, waterproof, trainers and water bottle as they will be playing Tag Rugby.
Easter Lunch
On Wednesday 28th March we are having an Easter Lunch. The menu is:

If your child usually brings sandwiches but would like a school meal on this day, please send the slip and £2.10 to school by Friday 9th March.
Making Moving Monsters
Please can we thank everyone who sent in or offered materials for the Year 3 and 4 D & T model making. We also thank all those
parents who unexpectedly found themselves covered in glue and paint when the models were sent home for completion! The children have really enjoyed the project
and we have had some fantastic moving monsters in school. Prizes will be given.
ESBC Exemplar Property - An Eco Home
This property has been created by ESBC in Burton at 369 Anglesey Road as a dedicated show home to energy efficiency and
fire safety. Drop in sessions are available to the public weekly 4pm-7pm on a Thursday and on alternate Saturdays (11th and 25th February) from 10am - 1pm.
